Can you reproduce the bug? If not, I will be hapy to post it to the mailing list. Now the module is only loaded manually with modprobe vbha and CDemu only works with the root user. When I added the applet onto the panel, it did nothing when I left-clicked it, so I went to a command line. Henrik S. (henrik-hw0) wrote on 2008-11-29: #13 It doesn't matter to leave that line.

Thank you! sudo -i echo "N" > /sys/module/module/parameters/sig_enforce exit this isnt permanent though :/ also make sure your user is member of the "cdrom" group. Please don't fill out this field. cdemu: Daemon: failed to create device!

Well, it is still better than it was. weblink I have installed: Core software: vhba-module [20110915] cdemu-daemon [1.5.0] libmirage [1.5.0] Client applications: gCDEmu [1.5.0] cdemu-client [1.5.0] #2 25th February 2012, 09:57 PM satanselbow Offline Registered User Join Daemon initialization and start failed! I guess the vhba daemon is not loaded for some reason aftere install, but I do not know why.

  1. At session start, I obtain this error message: Daemon autostart failed.
  2. Try running "sudo update-initramfs -u" manually.
  3. After reboot cdemu worked.

Did you noticed that vhba is not removed from /etc/modules whn purging? Cheers!
